FITC: The Classic Green Fluorophore That Still Delivers

Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) is the original green fluorophore—a classic that has stood the test of time in immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, and immunohistochemistry. FITC offers bright green emission (excitation ~495 nm, emission ~519 nm) that's compatible with standard FITC filter sets on virtually every fluorescence microscope and flow cytometer. Abbkine's FITC, Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG (A22120) delivers this classic green fluorescence with affinity-purified specificity.

Affinity Purified, FITC-Conjugated, Rabbit-Specific

A22120 is an affinity-purified polyclonal antibody raised in goat against rabbit IgG whole molecule [4†L4-L5]. It reacts with the heavy chains of rabbit IgG and the light chains of all other rabbit immunoglobulins, with no reactivity on non-immunoglobulin serum proteins [4†L27-L30]. The FITC conjugate provides bright green fluorescence for imaging and flow cytometry applications.

Applications and Recommended Dilutions

Validated for fluorescent applications with suggested starting dilutions of 1:50–1:1,000 for most fluorescent applications [4†L5-L7]:

  • Flow Cytometry (FCM)
  • Immunocytochemistry (ICC)
  • Immunofluorescence (IF)
