Background | Comet Assay Kit (3-Well Slides) is a single cell gel electrophoresis assay (SCGE), rapid and sensitive test for detecting DNA damage in cells. The principle is that after organs or tissues have been suffered from (such as radiation, heavy metals, etc.), single strand or double strand DNA was broken in the cells, the cell is mixed with melted agarose and added on a slide, then the cell membrane is disrupted with lysis solution, the DNA is uncoiled with alkaline solution. Finally, the samples were electrophoresed, under the action of an electric field, the macromolecular DNA of normal cells migrates for a shorter distance, intact DNA remains in the range of the nucleus, broken pieces of DNA migrate out of the nucleus, stained with PI dye, observed under a fluorescence microscope, intact DNA forms a circular or slightly tailed pattern; DNA fragmentation fragments form comet-like pattern. |
Fig.The Abbkine Comet Assay Kit was used to detect DNA damage in Jurkat normal cells and DNA damage induced positive control group. And it’s compared with other brand A. The fluorescence brightness and clarity detected by Abbkine Comet Assay Kit are higher than the other brand.

1.The species of antibody reactivity should be the sample species that can be matched normally after Abbkine R&D experts have passed strict scientific verification. If your sample is not within the range of reactivity, in order to improve the efficiency and results of your experiment, it is not suggested to try other species. Otherwise, it may lead to sample mismatch and affect the effect of your experiment.
2.Please aliquot the antibody received as soon as possible and store it at -20℃, avoid repeated freezing and thawing, and use it within one year.
