Amino acid sequence derived from mouse IL-4 (P07750) (Met 1-Ser140) was expressed with a 6His tag at the C-terminus.

The recombinant mouse IL-4 consists of 118 amino acids and predicts a molecular mass of 13.3 kD. The apparent molecular mass of the mouse IL-4 is approximately 15-19 kDa in SDS-PAGE under reducing conditions.

Always centrifuge tubes before opening. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized mouse IL-4 protein using the buffer we provided not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
- Storage instructions
Lyophilized mouse IL-4 protein product should be stored desiccated below -20°C. Upon reconstitution, the protein should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -20°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.

Interleukin-4 is a pleiotropic cytokine produced primarily by activated T lymphocytes, basophils and mast cells. It is a glycosylated polypeptide that contains three intrachain disulfide bridges and adopts a bundled four alpha -helix structure.It plays an important role in the treatment and research of tumor and autoimmune diseases, in addition to its role in mediating inflammatory allergic reaction. Mouse IL-4 is synthesized with a 24 aa signal sequence.Multiple immune response-modulating functions are performed by IL-4 on a variety of cell types and it has an important role in the regulator of isotype switching, induction of IgE production in B lymphocytes and differentiation of precursor T helper cells. IL-4 binds to both membrane-bound and secreted soluble IL-4 receptors.
