Usage notes | Always centrifuge tubes before opening. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized mouse IL-13 protein in the buffer which we provide not less than 100 µg/mL, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions. |
Storage instructions | Lyophilized Mouse IL-13 protein, His tag (Animal-Free)should be stored desiccated below -20°C. Upon reconstitution, the protein should be stored at 4°C between 2-7 days and for future use below -20°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.119% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles. |
Shipping | The product is shipped at ambient temperature. |

Background | Interleukin(IL)-13, a cytokine produced by T helper 2 (Th2) cells, is a powerful inhibitor of macrophage functions, including surface expression of CD14 and production of IL-1 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α. Interleukin (IL) -13 synergizes with IL-2 in regulating interferon-gamma synthesis . It may be critical in regulating inflammatory and immune responses .Mouse IL-13 shares 58% sequence identity with human protein and exhibits cross-species activity.IL-13 was first recognized for its effects on B cells and monocytes, where it upregulated class II expression, promoted IgE class switching and inhibited inflammatory cytokine production. It was also thought to be functionally redundant with IL-4. |
