Product name | ExKine™ Mitochondrion Extraction Kit (Tissue) |
Applications notes | Abbkine ExKine™ Mitochondrion Extraction Kit (Tissue) enables rapid and crude isolation of of intact mitochondria from animal tissues from both soft and hard tissues using differential centrifugation. This crude mitochondrial preparation is often enough for most applications, such as study of mitochondrial respiration, mitochondria membrane potential, apoptosis, mtDNA and mtRNA, and mitochondrial protein profiling etc. |
Kit components | • Lysis Buffer A (5×) • Lysis Buffer B (5×) • Storage Buffer |
Features & Benefits | • Isolate intact mitochondria from animal tissues from both soft and hard tissues. • Isolated mitochondria is compatible with almost any downstream application. |
Usage notes | Perform all steps at 2–8 °C. Use precooled buffers and equipment. Ensure all the solutions are defrosted and homogeneous. |
Storage instructions | Refer to list of materials supplied for storage conditions of individual components. Stable for at least 12 months at recommended temperature from date of shipment. Gel pack with blue ice. |

Background | Mitochondria is a double-membrane-bound organelle found in most eukaryotic cells. The function of mitochondria is to provide cellular energy. Moreover, mitochondria are involved in other tasks, such as signaling, cellular differentiation, and cell death, as well as maintaining control of the cell cycle and cell growth. Mitochondria have been implicated in several human diseases, including mitochondrial disorders, cardiacdysfunction, heart failure and autism. Mitochondria may play an important role in these cellular processes. |
Fig. Mouse liver tissues were extracted with ExKine™ Mitochondrion Extraction Kit (Tissue). Mitochondrial (M) and Cytosolic (C) fractions were analyzed by WB using cytochrome c antibody (cat#ABM40191) and VDAC1 antibody (cat#ABP53121).

1.The species of antibody reactivity should be the sample species that can be matched normally after Abbkine R&D experts have passed strict scientific verification. If your sample is not within the range of reactivity, in order to improve the efficiency and results of your experiment, it is not suggested to try other species. Otherwise, it may lead to sample mismatch and affect the effect of your experiment.
2.Please aliquot the antibody received as soon as possible and store it at -20℃, avoid repeated freezing and thawing, and use it within one year.
