Product name | CheKine™ Micro Superoxide Anion Assay Kit |
Applications notes | The kit provides a simple method for detecting the O2- content in a variety of biological samples such as animal tissues, plant tissues, serum, cells . In the assay, The superoxide anion in variety of biological samples reacts with hydroxylamine hydrochloride to produce NO2-, and NO2- reacts with Gris’ reagent. The mechanism of Gris’ analysis is summarized as the azo coupling between diazoniums, which is It is produced by sulfonamides and NO2- and N-(1-naphthyl)ethylenediamine dihydrochloride to generate a red azo compound with a characteristic absorption peak at 540nm. The O2- content in the sample can be calculated based on the A540 value. |
Kit components | • Extraction Buffer • Reagent I • Reagent II • Reagent III • NaNO2 Standard (10mmoL/L) |
Features & Benefits | • Determination of the O2- content in a variety of biological samples such as animal tissues, plant tissues, serum, cells. • Detailed sample preparation and result calculation methods are provided. • Simple operation steps. • Standard and standard curve line are provided. |
Calibration range | 0.0125-0.5 mg/mL |
Limit of detection | 0.0125 mg/mL |
Usage notes | • Do not mix or substitute reagents or materials from other kit lots or vendors. • Avoid foaming or bubbles when mixing or reconstituting components. • Avoid cross-contamination, change pipette tips between additions of standards, samples and reagents. Also, use separate reservoirs for each reagent. • Ensure all reagents and equipment are at the appropriate temperature before starting the assay. • Please prepare chloroform by yourself. • Each sample needs to set up a control well to eliminate the influence of NO2-existing in the sample itself, so 96T can only measure 48 samples. |
Storage instructions | Storage at 4°C and Keep from light immediately upon receipt. Kit has a storage time of 6 months from receipt. Refer to list of materials supplied for storage conditions of individual components. |
Shipping | Gel pack with blue ice. |

Background | Reactive oxygen species such as superoxide anions in organisms have immune and signal transduction effects, but when they accumulate too much, they will destroy cell membranes and biological macromolecules, leading to abnormal metabolism of cells and tissues in the body, causing many diseases. |

1.The species of antibody reactivity should be the sample species that can be matched normally after Abbkine R&D experts have passed strict scientific verification. If your sample is not within the range of reactivity, in order to improve the efficiency and results of your experiment, it is not suggested to try other species. Otherwise, it may lead to sample mismatch and affect the effect of your experiment.
2.Please aliquot the antibody received as soon as possible and store it at -20℃, avoid repeated freezing and thawing, and use it within one year.
