Product name | CheKine™ Micro Proline (PRO) Assay Kit |
Applications notes | The kit provides a simple method for detecting Pro content in a variety of biological samples such as serum, plasma, Plant or animal tissue, cells, and bacteria. In the assay, Pro is extracted with sulfosalicylic acid (SA). After heat treatment, Pro reacts with acidic ninhydrin solution to produce red; after extraction with toluene, the absorbance is measured at 520 nm. |
Kit components | • Extraction Buffer • Assay Buffer I •Chromogen •Pro Substrate |
Features & Benefits | • Determination of Pro content in a variety of biological samples such as serum, plasma, Plant or animal tissue, cells, and bacteria. • A broad range linearity: 0.5-80 μg/mL. • Detailed sample preparation and result calculation methods are provided. • Simple operation steps. • Standard and standard curve line are provided. |
Calibration range | 0.5-80 μg/mL |
Limit of detection | 0.5 μg/mL |
Usage notes | • 96 Well Clear Flat Bottom UV-Transparent Microplate is needed. • Do not mix or substitute reagents or materials from other kit lots or vendors. • Avoid foaming or bubbles when mixing or reconstituting components. • Avoid cross-contamination, change pipette tips between additions of standards, samples and reagents. Also, use separate reservoirs for each reagent. • Ensure all reagents and equipment are at the appropriate temperature before starting the assay. |

Background | Pro is widely present in animals, plants, microorganisms and cultured cells. Under adversity conditions, the Pro content in plants increased significantly. The increased amount of Pro reflects stress resistance to a certain extent, and varieties with strong drought resistance tend to accumulate more proline. Therefore, the increased amount of proline can be used as one of the physiological indicators of stress resistance breeding. |

1.The species of antibody reactivity should be the sample species that can be matched normally after Abbkine R&D experts have passed strict scientific verification. If your sample is not within the range of reactivity, in order to improve the efficiency and results of your experiment, it is not suggested to try other species. Otherwise, it may lead to sample mismatch and affect the effect of your experiment.
2.Please aliquot the antibody received as soon as possible and store it at -20℃, avoid repeated freezing and thawing, and use it within one year.
