Product name | CheKine™ Micro Phenylalanine Ammonia Lyase (PAL) Activity Assay Kit |
Applications notes | The kit provides a simple method for detecting PAL activity in biological samples . In the assay, PAL catalyzes the cleavage of L-phenylalanine into trans-cinnamic acid and ammonia. Trans-cinnamic acid has a maximum absorption value at 290 nm. PAL activity is calculated by measuring the rate of increase in absorbance. |
Kit components | • Extraction Buffer • Assay Buffer • Substrate • HCl |
Features & Benefits | • Determination of PAL activity in biological samples. • Detailed sample preparation and result calculation methods are provided. • Simple operation steps. |
Usage notes | • Do not mix or substitute reagents or materials from other kit lots or vendors. • Avoid foaming or bubbles when mixing or reconstituting components. • Avoid cross-contamination, change pipette tips between additions of standards, samples and reagents. Also, use separate reservoirs for each reagent. • Ensure all reagents and equipment are at the appropriate temperature before starting the assay. |
Storage instructions | Storage at 4°C and protected from light upon receipt. Kit has a storage time of 12 months form receipt. |
Shipping | Gel pack with blue ice. |

Background | PAL (EC4. 3 15) is widely present in various plants and a few microorganisms. It is a key enzyme and rate-limiting enzyme of phenylpropane metabolism in plants, and has not been found in animals. PAL is closely related to the synthesis of some important secondary substances such as lignin, isoflavone phytoales, and flavonoid pigments, and plays an important role in the normal growth and development of plants, disease resistance, and stress resistance. |

1.The species of antibody reactivity should be the sample species that can be matched normally after Abbkine R&D experts have passed strict scientific verification. If your sample is not within the range of reactivity, in order to improve the efficiency and results of your experiment, it is not suggested to try other species. Otherwise, it may lead to sample mismatch and affect the effect of your experiment.
2.Please aliquot the antibody received as soon as possible and store it at -20℃, avoid repeated freezing and thawing, and use it within one year.
