Additional Information

Background Activation of members of the mitogen-activated protein kinase family is a major mechanism for transduction of extracellular signals. Stress-activated protein kinases are one subclass of MAP kinases. The protein encoded by MAPK12 (Mitogen-Activated Protein Kinase 12) functions as a signal transducer during differentiation of myoblasts to myotubes. MAPK12 is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with MAPK12 include Breast Cancer. Among its related pathways are Arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) and 4-1BB Pathway.
