Product name Human Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 3 (LTBR) ELISA Kit
Reactivity Human
Applications ELISA
Applications notes This Human Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 3 (LTBR) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate LTBR in samples. An antibody specific for LTBR has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyLTBR present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for LTBR is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of LTBR bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Detection method Colorimetric
SampleType Cell culture supernatants, Other biological fluids, Plasma, Serum
Assay type Sandwich ELISA (quantitative)
Assay duration Multiple steps standard sandwich ELISA assay with a working time of 3-5 hours. It depends on the experience of the operation person.
Alternative LTBR; CD18; D12S370; LT-BETA-R; TNF-R-III; TNFCR; TNFR-RP; TNFR2-RP; TNFRSF3; TNFR superfamily; member 3; lymphotoxin B receptor; lymphotoxin beta receptor; tumor necrosis factor C receptor; tumor necrosis fa

Additional Information

Background This protein is a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) family of receptors. It is expressed on the surface of most cell types, including cells of epithelial and myeloid lineages, but not on T and B lymphocytes. The protein specifically binds the lymphotoxin membrane form (a complex of lymphotoxin-alpha and lymphtoxin-beta). The encoded protein and its ligand play a role in the development and organization of lymphoid tissue and tranformed cells. Activation of the encoded protein can trigger apoptosis.
