Product name Human Tapasin-related protein (TAPBPL) ELISA Kit
Reactivity Human
Applications ELISA
Applications notes This Human Tapasin-related protein (TAPBPL) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate TAPBPL in samples. An antibody specific for TAPBPL has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyTAPBPL present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TAPBPL is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TAPBPL bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Detection method Colorimetric
SampleType Cell culture supernatants, Other biological fluids, Plasma, Serum
Assay type Sandwich ELISA (quantitative)
Assay duration Multiple steps standard sandwich ELISA assay with a working time of 3-5 hours. It depends on the experience of the operation person.
Alternative TAPBPL; FLJ10143; TAPBP-R; TAPBPR; TAP binding protein related

Additional Information

Background Tapasin, or TAPBP (MIM 601962), is a member of the variable-constant Ig superfamily that links major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules to the transporter associated with antigen processing (TAP; see MIM 170260) in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER). The TAPBP gene is located near the MHC complex on chromosome 6p21.3. TAPBPL is a member of the Ig superfamily that is localized on chromosome 12p13.3, a region somewhat paralogous to the MHC.
