Product name Human MANSC domain-containing protein 1 (MANSC1) ELISA Kit
Reactivity Human
Applications ELISA
Applications notes This Human MANSC domain-containing protein 1 (MANSC1) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate MANSC1 in samples. An antibody specific for MANSC1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyMANSC1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for MANSC1 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of MANSC1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Detection method Colorimetric
SampleType Cell culture supernatants, Other biological fluids, Plasma, Serum
Assay type Sandwich ELISA (quantitative)
Assay duration Multiple steps standard sandwich ELISA assay with a working time of 3-5 hours. It depends on the experience of the operation person.
Alternative MANSC1; 9130403P13Rik; FLJ10298; LOH12CR3;

Additional Information

Background MANSC1 Contains 1 MANSC domain. MANSC: a seven-cysteine-containing domain present in animal membrane and extracellular proteins.MANSC (motif at N terminus with seven cysteines) is a novel domain with a well-conserved seven-cysteine motif that is present at the N terminus of membrane and extracellular proteins, including low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 11 (LRP-11), hepatocyte growth factor activator inhibitor 1 (HAI-1) and some uncharacterized proteins encoded by multicellular animals from Mollusca to Chordata. the MANSC domain in HAI-1 might function through binding with hepatocyte growth factor activator and matriptase.
