Product name Human Heat Shock Protein 70 antibody (HSP70-Ab) ELISA Kit
Reactivity Human
Applications ELISA
Applications notes This Human Heat Shock Protein 70 antibody (HSP70-Ab) ELISA Kit employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to HSP70-Ab. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated HSP70-Ab and incubated. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with HRP labeled HSP70-Ab and unlabeled HSP70-Ab with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of HSP70-Ab in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Detection method Colorimetric
SampleType Cell culture supernatants, Other biological fluids, Plasma, Serum
Assay type Sandwich ELISA (quantitative)
Assay duration Multiple steps standard sandwich ELISA assay with a working time of 3-5 hours. It depends on the experience of the operation person.
Alternative HSP70-Ab

Additional Information

Background Heat shock protein 70 (HSP70) is overexpressed in many kinds of tumors and is believed to be heavily involved in tumor progression. chicken HSP70 (chHSP70) xenogeneic DNA vaccine to elicit immune responses in a beagle canine transmissible venereal tumor (CTVT) model. CTVT dogs received empty vector vaccination and no treatment (CW) were used as controls. It was concluded that xenogeneic chHSP70 DNA vaccine successively breaks the tumor tolerance against canine HSP70 and exhibits promising prophylactic activity to inhibit the growth of HSP70-expressing tumor. The 70 kilodalton heat shock proteins (Hsp70s) are a family of ubiquitously expressed heat shock proteins. Proteins with similar structure exist in virtually all living organisms. The Hsp70s are an important part of the cell's machinery for protein folding, and help to protect cells from stress.
