CheKine™Micro Total Iron and Ferrous Ion Content Assay Kit can reduces Fe3+ to produce Fe2+, Fe2+ forms a blue complex with the probe under acidic conditions, and has an absorption peak at 593 nm. the total iron ion concentration can be calculated by measuring the absorbance at this wavelength. If Fe3+ is not reduced, the ferrous ion concentration can be determined.
