Clusters of Differentiation

Differentiation cluster (also known as differentiation cluster or simply Cluster of differentiation (CD)) refers to the cell surface molecules that are used for immune antigen recognition. Physiologically, Clusters of Differentiation CD are usually used as important receptors or ligands for cells; In addition, some CD can be used in cell signal cascade (cascade reaction), thereby changing the behavior of the cell; Some CD proteins are not related to cell communication, but have other functions, such as cell adhesion.
