|Product name||CheKine™ Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase (G6PDH) Activity Colorimetric Assay Kit|
|Applications notes||The kit provides a simple method for detecting glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PDH) activity in a variety of biological samples such as serum, plasma, tissues, cells , plants and bacteria. In the assay, G6PDH present in the sample converts NADP+ to NADPH, which has an absorbance at 340 nm. The absorbance of NADPH is proportional to the G6PDH activity present in the sample.|
|Kit components||• Assay Buffer
• 6-Phosphogluconic acid
|Features & Benefits||• Determination of G6PDH activity in a variety of biological samples such as serum, plasma, tissues, cells, plants and bacteria.
• Detailed sample preparation and result calculation methods are provided.
• Simple operation steps.
|Usage notes||• 96 Well Clear Flat Bottom UV-Transparent Microplate is needed.
• Do not mix or substitute reagents or materials from other kit lots or vendors.
• The sample preparation must be done on ice to prevent the enzyme inactivation, and the enzyme activity should be determined on the same day. avoid repeated freeze-thaw.
• Ensure all reagents and equipment are at the appropriate temperature before starting the assay.
|Storage instructions||Storage at -20°C and protected from light upon receipt. Kit has a storage time of 12 months form receipt.|
|Shipping||Gel pack with blue ice.|

|Background||Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PD or G6PDH) (EC 220.127.116.11) is a cytosolic enzyme that catalyzes the chemical reaction. This enzyme participates in the pentose phosphate pathway, a metabolic pathway that supplies reducing energy to cells (such as erythrocytes) by maintaining the level of the co-enzyme nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (NADPH). The NADPH in turn maintains the level of glutathione in these cells that helps protect the red blood cells against oxidative damage from compounds like hydrogen peroxide.|

1.The species of antibody reactivity should be the sample species that can be matched normally after Abbkine R&D experts have passed strict scientific verification. If your sample is not within the range of reactivity, in order to improve the efficiency and results of your experiment, it is not suggested to try other species. Otherwise, it may lead to sample mismatch and affect the effect of your experiment.
2.Please aliquot the antibody received as soon as possible and store it at -20℃, avoid repeated freezing and thawing, and use it within one year.
