Product Information
- Product name
CheKine™ Diamine Oxidase (DAO) Activity Colorimetric Assay Kit
- Application notes
DAO catalyzed resin amine to produce aldehyde and hydrogen peroxide, and add excessive horseradish peroxidase exogenous to catalyze hydrogen peroxide to oxidize o-anisamine to produce colored substances which has a characteristic absorption peak at 460 nm. DAO activity is calculated by measuring the absorbance increase rate of this wavelength. It can test samples of tissue, cells, bacteria, plants and serum (plasma).
Product Properties
- Kit components
• Extraction Buffer •ReagentⅠ • ReagentⅡ • ReagentⅢ
- Features & Benefits
• Determination of DAO activity in a variety of biological samples such as animal tissues, plant tissues, cell ,serum (plasma), bacterial. • Detailed sample preparation and result calculation methods are provided. • Simple operation steps.
- Usage notes
• Do not mix or substitute reagents or materials from other kit lots or different vendors, or it may cause abnormal result.
•Avoid foaming or bubbles when mixing or reconstituting components.
• To avoid cross-contamination, change pipette tips between additions of each standard level, between sample additions, and between reagent additions. Also, use separate reservoirs for each reagent.
•Ensure all reagents and solutions are at the appropriate temperature before starting the assay. - Storage instructions

Additional Information
- Background
DAO(EC1.4.3.6) is widely present in animals (intestinal mucosa, lung, liver, kidney), plants, microorganisms. It catalyzes polyamine and oxidized to aldehydes, Its activity is closely related to nucleic acid and protein synthesis and can reflect the integrity of the intestinal mechanical barrier and the degree of damage.
