    Canine Formin-1 (FMN1) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate Formin-1 in samples. An antibody specific for Formin-1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any Formin-1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, HRP-Conjugate CanineFormin-1 detection antibody is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound HRP reagent, a Chromogen solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of Formin-1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.

This gene belongs to the formin homology family and encodes a protein that has a role in the formation of adherens junction and the polymerization of linear actin cables. The homologous gene in mouse is associated with limb deformity.
