Product name Human Dapper homolog 1 (DACT1) ELISA Kit
Reactivity Human
Applications ELISA
Applications notes This Human Dapper homolog 1 (DACT1) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate DACT1 in samples. An antibody specific for DACT1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyDACT1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for DACT1 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of DACT1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Detection method Colorimetric
SampleType Cell culture supernatants, Other biological fluids, Plasma, Serum
Assay type Sandwich ELISA (quantitative)
Assay duration Multiple steps standard sandwich ELISA assay with a working time of 3-5 hours. It depends on the experience of the operation person.
Alternative DACT1; DAPPER; DAPPER1; DPR1; FRODO; HDPR1; THYEX3; dapper 1; dapper homolog 1; antagonist of beta-catenin; heptacellular carcinoma novel gene 3

Additional Information

Background The protein encoded by DACT1 belongs to the dapper family, characterized by the presence of PDZ-binding motif at the C-terminus. It interacts with, and positively regulates dishevelled-mediated signaling pathways during development. Depletion of this mRNA from xenopus embryos resulted in loss of notochord and head structures, and mice lacking DACT1 died shortly after birth from severe posterior malformations. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for DACT1.
